Yo! Thanks for landing here.

Since you seem interested enough in who I am. Here’s the story…

I’m an art director and designer with a passion for creating visual experiences and building long-lasting relationships with global brands. With a background in print, multimedia and web design, my career thus far has been a journey of varied stages, embracing every opportunity and honing my craft along the way.

My journey began doing in-house design work at small, but mighty companies. Because I knew my way around a composition and could fumble my way through some code, I made myself an asset whichever way I could. This allowed me to explore different facets of design, and opened doors for me to explore traditional graphic design, photography, layout… areas I was passionate about and where I could cut my teeth in both aesthetics and functional design.

One of the pivotal moments in my career came when I joined a small motorsports company. Here, I was entrusted with a small photo studio and given way too much freedom, which enabled me to delve deeper into the nuance of visual storytelling. From producing ads for magazines and yearly catalogs to capturing product and race photography, I learned and learned and learned and further developed my curiosity for art direction. This experience led to exploring the world of magazines and editorial design, where I got the opportunity to drive a bimonthly publication, design books and collaborate with multiple publishers.

Still wanting to push my work further, I joined a small design studio in Portland called Big-Giant. Here I got my first crack at working with global brands. In this fast-paced environment, I honed my ability to work swiftly while delivering quality work. And learned the value of having a diverse range of skills. The work at Big-Giant varied wildly, working on environmental design one day, and tee shirt graphics or a logo the next. This studio experience set me on a path to work with renowned global brands like Nike, Xbox, Mattel, and many others. Through these projects, I thrived on creating long-term visual systems, crafting impactful brand identities, and establishing creative frameworks at JDK and Nemo Design.

Beyond my nine-to-five, I stay busy finding new adventures with my wife and daughter. Whether it's chasing them on snow, water, or trails, I follow the precious moments and capture them with whatever lens I have on me at the moment. I’m like the Scorsese of home movies…
